Culture is the
collections of values, beliefs, knowledge, norms, language, behaviors, and
material objects shared by a people and socially transmitted from generation to
generation according to experience sociology
by David Croteau and William Hoynes. In Africa for example we share a lot
of these such as behaviors, norms, beliefs… One of the most common one is
polygamy. It exists in all African countries no matter the religion that people
believe, they still have many wives and that constitute a major problems. I have
seen women killing each other or even voodoo other to get run away or get crazy
just to be alone with their husband.

We also have another one that we all share but it depends of what ethnicity that one’s belong that women’s excision. For instance we never practice women’s excision in my ethnic group but if we take 10 groups almost 8 or 7 do it. Now that many countries start banning it, it reduces a lot but still exists because African holds on a lot to their beliefs.
